I&I The Tribe
“Back in ’99 there was a dream of a tribe” Revolutionizing generation “Y” I&I The Tribe are bridging the gap between consciousness and reality. A group composed of brothers; Inspiration and Innovation are the motives behind these four ingenious young men. New Ro (New Rochelle, NY) being the birthplace of this outbreak, an in-house compilation of art, music, photography and videography are what characterizes the group as a whole. Introducing Marv Middle, Len Lama, Jon Force, and Just Jay, I&I The Tribe constitutes an uprising in music underground.
Inspiration and Innovation are what allows them to see eye and eye. Derived from a message of the Rasta, they work to evolve music spreading positivity, fearlessness, and self-awareness. All music is produced within and leading the Maestro is Marv Middle with Marvillious Beats. Having an extensive symphonic background, Marv Middle produces beats to suit his own lyrics along with his brothers’. Mastering the piano, and violin, Marv is also known for his melodic voice, being the only singer among the tribe. Marvillious Mondays are a showcase of Marv’s infamous beats, where he releases a beat along with a video or song each Monday. In detail, Marvillious Beats’ productions can be heard of off his latest instrumental compilation titled Blueberry Muffin.
If you’re looking for an artist who’d rather rap then write, I&I’s Jon Force spits so eloquently with lyrics laced on his tongue. With illuminating words spoken like a casual conversation, freestyling is best described as Jon’s specialty, and I had the pleasure of witnessing his rapid and charismatic bars during the interview. In addition, Jon Force is the man behind Force Fridays, which is a dedication to his craft where he releases a video every Friday packed with random scenes and lyrics. His latest download features him freestyling vicious sixteens on a 16 track mixtape; Jon Forces other artists along with his listeners to see eye and eye on his project Blunt Force Trauma.
Consciously correct, articulator Just Jay has the ability to blend the morals of I&I The Tribe along with life experiences to address questioning topics of today’s generation. His poetic tone does his realist tracks justice. Encouraging progression, and unity, Just Jay provides the soundtrack of his own “Lyrical instances of deceptive encounters, critical views on capitalism, and his manifestation of the I&I sound” with his recent mixtape Moody: Moods of Separation.
Completing the Tribe is the youngest messenger Len Lama, opening the eyes of generation Y. With his enlightening aura, Len speaks of his factual findings on spirituality, existence, and the divine knowledge of inner self. His style is smooth and welcoming making it easier for listeners to accept his words, spreading knowledge underground. Having released two projects, Ras Flavas and The Real EP, Len Lama is continuing his message with his upcoming project Elien, debuting September 11, 2013. In addition to Len’s Lyrics, the MC is also behind the screen, as a videographer for the tribe. Recognized as Lenz Lama, Len is responsible for some of the videos from the tribe including the Tribe Travel Series, which can be viewed on their website or YouTube channel.
I&I The Tribe, is a cluster of Gems found underground. With an Innovating revolution and an Inspiring message these young men are worth every view and download. An interesting perspective of the Tribe is that there is something for everyone, no story is the same and it is guaranteed that you will find someone you can relate to if not all four.
